Send Your Drama Queens and Kings to Theatre Camp This Summer!
Children's Theatre is a musical theatre camp. The camp offers four, two-week sessions, with an original musical at the end of each session, and a fun-filled beach day!
A summer drama program for young people from 6 to 18; music, theatre, voice and speech, body movement. Four original musicals are performed at the end of each two-week session.
NEWS! Children's Theatre Gets NEW DIRECTOR!
The Board of Directors and Artistic Staff of Island Theatre Workshop Inc. (ITW) are pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Ditchfield as the Director of Children's Theatre for the 2009 season. With Mr. Ditchfield's acceptance of this position, the story comes full circle.
The son of Michael and Lynn Ditchfield, both familiar faces on the Vineyard Theatre scene, Brian's career in theatre and the arts began some twenty plus years ago as a student at ITW Children's Theatre. With the support of family and friends, Brian continued being very active in theatre throughout high school, following his passion to pursue a degree in Theatre degree from Boston University. Following a successful career in film and theatre for many years in Chicago, he now has returned to the Vineyard with his wife, Brooke.
Ditchfield has long been involved with the Vineyard Playhouse and the Fourth Grade Theatre Project. He and Brooke recently announced the start up of ArtFarm, their nonprofit organization involving the creation of a visual and performing arts cooperative on the Vineyard.
